ASUS - Eee- ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime TF201
I was eagerly waiting for some manufacture to come up with some amazing android table and the wait is over. I now own the Eee Pad Transformer Prime TF201
Well there is a long story behind the purchase but let me put it in simple. I got this as a gift for my family at Germany in the Frankfurt International Airport. I got 11% cash credit from the customs , thanks to the Airport Tax Free Shopping.
Over all I would recommend any one looking for a tablet in the higher segment to go for it.
The best what I like
- Performance , thanks to the NVIDIA® Tegra® 3 Quad-core CPU for excellent multitasking
- Display , Ultra-wide 178⁰ viewing angle and ultra bright Super IPS+ panel protected by scratch resistant Corning® Gorilla® Glass
- Keyboard , Full QWERTY keyboard with touchpad and USB port, while also extending the battery to 18 hours* when combined with the mobile dock
- Look & Feel , Metallic spun finish design that’s only 8.3mm slim and 586g light
- Storage , MicroSD Card Reader, Micro HDMI port and 8G life time ASUS Webstorage space for easy sharing & expandability
- Camera , 8MP rear auto-focus camera with LED flash, back-illuminated CMOS sensor and large aperture design to clearly capture every moment
- OS , Android™ 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS with Adobe® Flash® support* and over 500,000 downloadable applications on the Android ™ Market

Official Information from Google Mobile Blog
http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2011/08/supercharging-android-google-to-acquire.html
Now with this merger Google will rule the hardware market. We can see more interesting stuffs coming out of this merger.
Motorola Zoom is one good example where Google Android and Motorola worked together.

Android Ice Cream Sandwich
Seems there are some leaked news on the next Operating System
http://www.pcworld.com/article/237954/leaked_android_ice_cream_sandwich_os_photos_droid_green_turns_blue.html
This version seems to merge both the mobile and tablet version OS.

The above picture seems to be released by Google just to create some hype.

This guy made a advertisement for Nexus One and then in the last he dropped it
I did drop my Nexus once and then had a safe case for it. Just do not want to loose this one at any cost.

Android switched to 3G from Wifi when Idle
Noticed that Android is switching itself to 3G from Wifi when Idle.
This behavior is by default the reason it to save power. To over ride this feature and always keep the phone on Wifi the below steps will help
Go to Settings
Wireless and Networks
WiFi Settings
Go to Advanced options
Select WiFi sleep policy
Select the option Never
Now this makes the phone to stay on WiFi even on Idle mode.
